Looking at Knee Replacement Surgery in June!

United States
March 30, 2016 4:10pm CST
I have tried the gel shot, cortisone shot and this is my next step, I am ready to get it fixed so I can do the things I cannot do now! Who else has had a knee replacement? What was your recovery timeframe? My husband had a motorcycle accident December 19, 2015, a deer hit him or he hit the deer. He broke his neck. We came home on January 4 and back in ER and sending him to heart hospital. He had five bypass surgery, then to rehab for a week and home on January 30th. He is doing awesome! Now I come up with this knee replacement surgery, what a journey we have been on. Thankful that God was right there with us and he is alive!

You have had some bad luck, haven't you? My Dad had a knee replacement and it was very helpful. Hopefully it will give you a lot more options activity-wise too.

Sorry to hear about your husband's health problems, but glad that he is coming through it. I haven't had a knee replaced but have had a hip done. This sort of operation is done so often nowadays that it's almost routine. I was walking the with canes the day after the op, and completely recovered after a few weeks.

More and more folks seem to be having knee replacements. I don't plan to do anything about my crazy knee at this point. (The knee cap is off kilter and not where God put it.)

Thanks so much! My husband is a miracle man, he has been saved from so many things, God still has things for him to do! Most people I know that has had knee surgery say they wish they had done it sooner!
