Is being good dangerous?!?

A sudden thought came to my mind as I got up in the morning: If you are surrounded by evil people, you would be afraid to do anything good. While, if you are surrounded by good people, you are free to do whatever evil you want to.

No when you are with good people it's even more hard to do the evil things.

@rickyroy09 Being a good person also means standing up and doing something about the wrong going on around you. You don't have to beat the person, but it does not mean standing there and watching it happen. Doing nothing makes them just as evil.

@sjvg1976 Then they can't be called good people any more then. They become evil altogether in doing so. don't they?

No where near as dangerous as being a bad person. The worst people can do is take advantage of me, but I am a scorpio after all. Those who tread on me, do get stung. Other than that I am calm(usually) and live my life peacefully. Unlike the bad person whose mind is constantly filled with negative thoughts and always looking over their shoulders.

@rickyroy09 You maybe. Nobody anywhere ever taught me that the only way to be good was to stand around and talk. For example: Me knocking a thief down and pinning him to the ground (while maybe stupid) is not a bad thing in my eyes. If I were to start punching the thief in the face, then that's a different story. If I feel it necessary for my safety to knock them out, I do not see that as bad because there is nothing wrong with protecting others or yourself.

@cupkitties I'm not talking about petty theft acts and all. And also, you had to knock the thief down yourself. No good people around you came up to knock the thief down for you. Because if they did and had things gone violent, they might have been charged of "taking the law in their own hands".

But good people never sting, they always either forgive or avoid or ignore. This is what we are taught to since childhood about being good. Isn't it? "Never harm anybody: not even to the ones who harms you, or else there wont be any difference between you and those others."

@rickyroy09 Its strange to have these kind of thoughts in the morning while we wake up. But it has sense.

One of the things I have heard over the years which I truly believe in and that is: If you want to become smarter, than hang around smarter people.

Evil people are always smarter... Remember the serpent in the garden?
