Papaya from our Backyard

We're out of fruits in our house. My husband said he will buy some tomorrow after his duty. His work is a one day duty and one day off. So, no fruits for today, I thought. Not until I see 2 ripe papayas in our backyard. They really taste very sweet for they are already ripe when I get them from the papaya tree. Now I have fruits to eat and they are for free. Aside from papaya, I also plant rambutan, mango, lanzones, guava, tambis, guyabano and jackfruit. Do you plant fruit trees in your backyard?

You have so many fruits in your yard. The fruit from own yard must be tastier and free from pesticides too. So you can have it without any fear. I too collect the fruits from tree when I visit my native. Here I am living in city and no chance to grow trees.

So nice to harvest your own fruits, and it is organic too! I do not know tambis. Yes, I also plant papaya in the vacant lot near our house though we do not own it, but the subdivision owner allows us to use it while it is vacant. I love gardening whenever I can.
