I Need a Break

So I'm back. I finished the notifications earlier and took the time to get more of the living room done and work on Scarred. Now my head feels like it's going to burst, so I'm taking a break from it and seeing what you're up to before I get back to finishing the living room and working more on Scarred. I'm so happy with the progress. There are less punctuation errors with each set of chapters I send him. Hopefully I'll have Scarred finished by the end of the month so I can move forward to getting the second edition available. I also need to work on Freedom's Cry. That too is coming along well. I just haven't had time to work on it this week with rearranging the office and trying to get everything sorted and put away that ended up in the living room. So hopefully I'll get more of that done this weekend as well. I also need to get my laundry done, which I better get started now, or I won't have it done before tomorrow. So that's been my afternoon. How's your day/night going? Thanks for reading.

Does it feel like laundry takes the longest? I swear I get everything done, but the dryer is still going.

@ramapo17 That was when I had my own home. Now I use my son's or daughter's washer and dryer to do laundry. My old washer and dryer were sold to someone who could use them, even if they were on their last legs at the time.

It does take the longest. I need to be careful not to run the washer and dryer together or it will blow a circuit. So washing two loads of clothes can take several hours, especially with as old as the dryer is, it takes longer to get the clothes dry, usually a couple hours per load.

Little spurts with rests work for me, too. Keeps one from becoming overwhelmed. I also seem to have at least three projects going simultaneously so I don't get bored, I just keep switching.

@just4him Hahaha, me too. I always leave notes on my computer desk for things to do and the next day the note is still there.

@ramapo17 I stopped leaving notes because my desk would be cluttered with them.

You will be able to enjoy a little slower pace this weekend after all of this work that you got done! I worked all afternoon, it was fairly busy, just a nice pace actually.

@just4him Yes, be careful so that it doesn't run any longer then it needs to. Mine has an annoying loud buzzer that sounds when it goes into the cool-down mode, and again a few minutes later just before it shuts off.

My first load of laundry is in the dryer, now all I need to do is not forget it as I get carried away on here. The dryer doesn't go off automatically because it's very old, so I need to pay attention to the fact the clothes are drying.

@Juliaacv That's happened more than once and last night as well. My son did his laundry all day and fell asleep when the last load went into the dryer. I turned the dryer off at 6 this morning. He told me it had been on for 5.5 hours at that point.

I have some speakers in my living room that seem to collect things I don't feel like "finding a home for" yet. We need to take the speakers out of the living room so I am going to need to start picking all that stuff up and finding an actual home for it.

Everything here that has a surface has stuff on it. That's my biggest problem. Clutter.

@farbuoloxusy It's amazing what finds it's way to all the flat surfaces in the house.

@just4him My husband always says, "you can cover any flat surface." But 9 out of 10 times its his stuff such as tools that belong in the garage.

That doesn't sound like a fun day. I'm glad you were able to make it better by meeting your sister afterwards for dinner. Shopping is fun no matter why you do it.

Night is falling here. It is all quiet. I´m waiting for my friend. She said she could come until her husband came home from work as she cannot leave her mother unattended.

That only happens in Harry Potter, but it's a nice thought. Or the Elves and the Shoemaker who always had his shoes finished when he woke in the morning.

It never stops. Just when we think we are getting things done we see something else that needs doing. You are better than I am in getting things done.

@Morleyhunt I'm glad you were able to get them done. I got all of my living room done. I just need to put a couple things in place, but that can wait until morning, just like your pan can.

@just4him I finished most of them. I set the pan I used for Shepherds pie soaking. I'll wash it in the morning.
