The wind is keeping me from sleeping

My bedroom window is an old triple track. The one outer window cracked really bad so I took the broken pieces out. Now there is a big hole.
The wind is blowing so hard it has been making my window rattle for hours. I can't sleep and its driving me nuts.
My daughter and son are sleeping through the noise though thankfully. They will be up for the day soon though. I have to do the dishes when I wake up so I can have coffee.. bummer.

@shaggin If it's snowy some wooden planks not gonna help. It's gonna be cold.

@AdamMconald The inside window is not broken so my room is not cold. It is just a large part of the outer window. I added a photo to try to show you so it will make more sense.

It's always good to see the children sleeping through the night despite the noise. My elder son can always sleep through the night, but my little girl doesn't. Glad that whenever my little girl cries in the middle of the night, it doesn't wake up my son. 
I wonder if something can be done to your window so it doesn't make that noise.

I was going to see if my man would take it to his friends on town to have it fixed but he told me I should wait until the weekday when his friends father is there because he does a much better job. I am going to try now to cover it with cardboard and tape it for now.
