Focusing on what we don't have will lead us to an unhappy life, so we should just focus on our blessings, since they are countless and look a the bigger picture... Although it is sometimes hard not to get jealous of those who have more, just think that life can be so much worse and that God has a better plan for you...
I'm just sort of blabbering, but i am giving this advice to myself and to you too since i saw something that made me quite jealous

There is another way of looking at it.
Instead of focusing on what you have, or what you want, you can focus on the future.
Many people do not have a house of their own.
They dream of having a great house in a great location.
They are focusing on the future.
It is a hope that sustains them, and makes them work hard.

I think it's good to focus on the positives, and to learn to be content with what we have. I don't go in for keeping up with the Joneses, at all.
By the same token, it can be constructive to set goals when it comes to something we want to acquire or achieve. There's nothing wrong with planning and building a path towards a goal, as long as it's about us satisfying a genuine desire.

It is! But sometimes, we tend to forget to be grateful for the things we have. Actually there are a lot of more people who don't have as many as we have. Let us be grateful, the happiness is in simple things anyway.

You I've always wanted to buy a new treadmill, but i realized my treadmill with bike is enough for my daily exercise since i can't walk much anymore. then I made 2 kinds of dumbbell, not sure when I will be making a new one. so far I'm been blessed with having a moringa tree that provide me with all the vitamins I'll ever need even though I don't need to eat the veggies i had ate beore. so many things to mention, which is why i try not to react much when some one i think has i all.

@lady1993,You are right, but most of us tend to have a desire to get something they don't have, and in the process, forget the things they have, but other's don't.Consequently they never enjoy a life of fulfilment. The problem is that the grass always looks greener on the other side.

I appreciate what I have, I think it's human to want more.

I focus on my own blessings. I am satisfied and content with what I have because I live a frugal lifestyle.
