Rheumatologist Check Up Today

Later on during the day I have to go and have my checkup at the rheumatologist clinic. Not looking forward to but it needs to be done a few times a year. I have prepared a list of questions for him and hope to get some answers. Then, he will send me to my other specialists and here it starts again: the round of seeing doctors and have more tests. Sometimes I get so tired of all this. Do you have lots of doctors appointments too?

Yes, most of the appointments are for my husband, but I always accompany him. We have too many, the most recent was yesterday morning, the next one the next Monday.

@marlina Yes the ones here are appalling Marlina..they have no compassion and no desire to listen or treat. Or at least the ones that my insurance will pay.

Hope your appointment went well yesterday. Thankfully, I am in good health, so don't have to visit the doctor a lot.

Recently I went through executive check up and I was sort of bored waiting for my turns to be seen by the doctor and in doing all the procedures.

Fortunately, I don't. But I do go to the dentist every month because I'm wearing braces. I'm afraid of going to the doctor and I only do so when I have something very serious. I hope I won't have any serious health issues in the future.

@marlina Just a normal thing here. When people visit a doctor it means they're sick and we don't want to hear that we are sick or that we have a serious illness. It's like going to the dentist.

No not so much. I have to get my blood checked a couple times a year and then one visit to the doctor.

My appointments are spaced out with specialists, but the family doctor sees me quarterly.

@marlina Yeah, but we have to be thankful for our healthcare that allows us that. I see specialists for a few things, and then have to be tested for so many other things, plus constantly monitored on things. I've got a complicated body I guess.

I go the end of the month for blood work and then follow-up for six month checking up...nothing serious. Then in Aug. the kidney specialist. Good luck.

I don't really have lots of doctors appointments but I do have to go to the clinic regularly to get my blood checked to make sure my blood thinners are at the right level. I have to do that at least monthly unless it's too high or low, then I have to go in weekly or every two weeks until it levels off again. Good luck at your appointment.

I am also taking Coumadin and have a hard time to keep it right. So lots of blood tests just for this problem alone.

I really hate to do all the tests when you are not sick. I did this and the heart doctor told me to go away, come back if I get sick.

I remember that you had lots of conflicts with your doctor in Jonesboro. Perhaps this will be a better situation and you will get the treatment you need quicker and with less disagreement. He should not have to run the tests that have already been run.
