What is Behind the Smile?

What is behind the smile? Are you hiding something? Are you expressing your real feelings? What is the mask that you wear? Is it real or is it phony? Is it pretentious and full of baloney? Perhaps your smile is a reflection of true happiness and peace. What is the truth? I do beseech.

Hiding the emptiness deep within. Hiding the dissatisfaction, unhappiness... a lot of things. But some moments, the smile is for real, alas, not many notice that either.

Every time I'm about to cry I just smile and think of happy thoughts, so that I won't show my weakness to others. :)
