I was diagnosed about a year ago with type 2 diabetes. At the time my doctor put me on Metformin, Glipizide, and Tradjenta. Metformin alone gives terrible stomach pains. I thought I was doing well with keeping my levels down but about 4 weeks ago my doctor tells me that she wants to but me on Tanzeum on top of these three other medicines. Every since I have been on this Tanzeum I have been feeling terrible! Nausea, vomiting, diaherra, dizziness, I have been missing on things because this is so terrible. I've told my doctor time and time again but all he says is it will eventually go away. Just wanted to know if anyone else on this medicine have these issues too. What are some things I can do to ease these symptoms?? Thanks in advance!! and i stop all my medicine now im on Metformin and lantas and its works my new doctor rock's

I was diagnosed about 12 years ago. They put me on metformin and it made me sick. It was a terrible experience. I took myself off of it. I started walking and riding a stationary bike. I hate to exercise, but the walking really helps lower my blood sugar. I lost some weight and have continued to lose weight. It is very hard. I still need to shed a bit more weight. I currently do low carb. I mostly eat, meat, green veggies, nuts, eggs cheese. My blood sugar is almost perfect. It was 125 today. My goal is to stay medication free. The cure for me was exercise and losing some weight. I wish you luck. God bless you.
