Today is: National Beer Day - Cheers!

You might assume that National Beer Day was invented by a beer company, but it wasn't. This, of course, is an unofficial holiday - the mail will be delivered today, banks are open and kids are in school. National Beer Day is in honor of April 7, 1933 - which was the first day that beer could be sold, purchased and drank legally in the US. So all you beer drinkers out there thank President Franklin D. Roosevelt for putting his John Hancock on a piece of legislation that gives you the freedom to share a beer with friends or alone. Walk into a liquor store, gas station or convenience store and pick up a six-pack of your favorite suds to celebrate the day. Remember to drink responsibly, cheers!
