If I hadn't been listening to the radio one afternoon in the car, I would never have heard of the company! They teach you a language of your choice for free. I have been working to polish by French and I don't know how they do it, but you feel this compulsion to return each day, just to learn more. I haven't been doing it very long, but according to the website, I am 26% fluent. I have learned so much more than I ever did in high school and I'm retaining it. If you ever want to learn a new language for even a few minutes a day... this site is amazing!
Don't know when I will ever get the chance to use it, but it makes me feel good. ;)

I think that it is the streaks that keep me going lol. I just spotted one lady with a streak of days over 500... I have a lot to go before I beat her lol.

I haven't heard of it. I took high school French, but took a French 100 class at our local uni before our first trip to Paris. It all came back. I still have my textbook, lab book, and tapes. Is it a free website? My son is refreshing his Spanish through Rosetta Stone, but it was expensive.

I thought that it might help with my French ancestors. I'm thinking about Swedish next. :)

I love Duolingo! I've been using it for over a year now for German. Disclaimer: it's great for vocab, but you really need something to explain the grammar to you.
