On May 18, 2016, I will be traveling to Wisconsin to spend about a month helping my sister out on her dairy farm. Since I haven't been in the States for almost two years, it will be interesting to see the changes. I look forward to seeing more immigrants in Wisconsin and how the election issues are being talked about around my sister's rural area in northeastern Wisconsin. To avoid any personal attacks I'll have to remember not to wear any "Make America Great Again" hats while I'm in the States. Do you have any other advice for a person who has been living under military control for the past two years?

The snow should be gone by then. Poor Wisconsin has been getting hit pretty hard this year. It's also my home state. Relax, maybe get some fishing in. Hope the trip is a pleasant one for you.

Where is your hometown in Wisconsin? I was born in Milwaukee and then grew up on farms outside of Mukwonago and Burlington in southeastern Wisconsin.

@pauliek I was born in Superior, but lived in small town outside of Beloit, a bit closer to Illinois than you.

@msiduri What was the name of the town outside of Beloit?

haha, you may find that half the folks there wear "Make America Great Again" T-shirts or whatever else. It sure is a great slogan, and sadly it is true. The economy of US is not that great despite the upbeat news about the employment rate, and job creation.

@pauliek You can ask your sister if the Fed optimism of the economy is reflected in her place. Most likely it is not. When we read the discussion in Mylot, we can also see that the economy is not as the Fed want us to believe.

@scheng1 My sister is losing money shipping milk because the price of milk is really depressed!

It will be interesting to see whether the upbeat news about America is true when I am there.

If I can get away from my sister's farm for a day, I will go down to Milwaukee and see a game. It would probably be easier to go up to Green Bay and tour the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
