One Stupidity leads into another

One stupidity always leads to another. This week my laptop broke off, then, I dropped my smartphone into a bucket full of water; after that, I lost my groceries in the city bus; and then, I lost my door key. What is a person thinking when one stupidity follows another, like a nuclear reaccion? Have you ever had to go through a similar situation?

Oh wow what an awful things to happen but as you've said in my discussion, things could get better because of those awful things. I think I have had a similar experience but I just couldn't recall it at the moment since it happened a long time ago. Sigh, I'm getting old.

I dropped my iPhone in a puddle once. Worked an hour later

Yours was water proof! Iphones are known to resist water! Good phones! I hope I can get an iphone, next time I buy a phone!

@quantum2020 I think it happens to most of us. I experienced that several times. We cannot predict bad things will happen. If we could, we would stop it or avoid it, right?

You´re correct! When it pours, it is when we have to be more alert!

I guess you were having a really bad day. How did you lose groceries on the bus? I have had bad days, too. We all have. It looks like you fixed your laptop and got into your house. Did you take the battery out of the phone and sop up as much water as possible? Then bury it in rice to take the rest of the moisture out?

I did the rice technique hours after the accident and I turned it on just after I got it from the bucket. I always take precautions on the things that I do but I have the feeling that when someone envies me for having material things, I unconciously try to get rid of the items.

@quantum2020 You pay good money for stuff. It is better to take care of it. I hope that was your whole run of bad luck and it is over now.

@akalinus When I noticed that the accidents were developing one after another, I took time to relax and calm myself. I hope, the accidents involving distraction are over for me too.

Thanks! It was like a chain of reactions but I put it a stop before they could get worse!

Not anything quite that obvious, but other things such as taking the wrong lesson plans to the wrong class and calling kids by their sibling's name and things like that. Usually it happens on a day when I didn't have enough sleep.

It occurs sometimes that we do not pay attention to things when we our system is worn up and in need of rest.

All that can be replaced. But I agree that that makes us be very mad at ourselves.

I don´t get mad at myself. An accident like that gives me the opportunity to reflect on the real meaning of life.

Yes, I drank a glass of milk just in case. Was not hungry anyway and had cereal and fruits.
