Are we considered to be a newbie based on the time we have been here or based on the number of activity? I am here about 15 days and 350 activity old. so where does that put me on the newbie map?

Not sure, I have only been here a few months, but others have been here for years

@vhpsandi Everyone's activity is different. I've been here about the same as you, and mine is 1171. I know someone who started interacting here just a few days before me, and her activity is already well over 2000. So when she's been here for several months, it could be 8000 or even 10000. Others who have been here for a year or more, may only have an activity of 500 or so. The important thing is just to get involved in the discussions, and have fun! The activity ratings and the pennies will follow, without you needing to think too much about them

@Ruby3881 Basically I wanted to know, since newbies are usually scanned more than the rest for any fault or error, so they would be corrected by admin or other members. I want to know when I will get out of spot light. It hurts the eyes.

What I would consider a newbie is how much a person is making at the end of the day. A new person may be making much more than one who is her since years.

Newbie or not newbie? That is the question.

I guess that @JJ is right about the new user thing.

I'm not really sure how newbie status is determined, but I suspect activity has something to do with it. It's probably a combination of factors.

I'm not sure, but personally it took me a month until I didn't consider myself a newbie. So I would say the length of time here is the deciding factor. I believe you drop off the 'new user' list after 7 days.
