Another massive earthquake in Ecuador after the Japan earthquake. This is one natural calamity for which there is no warning what so ever. The only precautions that can be taken is to see that all structures, small and large in the earthquake prone areas are resistant to earthquakes.
A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake shook Ecuador Saturday, killing 28 people. The tremor was strongly felt in the capital Quito as a tsumani warning was also issued for local coasts.

It worries us too because there is a place in the Philippines which seismologists said is already ripe and can wreak so much damage if that faultline moves.

If big cities have come up on such fault lines, they cannot even be moved to some other place.

Sometimes I would think that earthquakes, typhoons, floods and other natural calamities are nature's way of balancing out population. Just a wild imagination though.

Not only population, a lot of other things too, that only nature knows.
