I am not very experienced here but i have seen many users whose discussion get a lot of responses...the largest no i noticed was 65...the number tells about the interactions which is the main concern of mylot.. Mine highest is 12... How's your discussions performing here?

To be honest the number of responses doesn't actually equate to interaction as such. You could have 65 responses and you comment on them all but you get nothing beyond the response...that is interaction but I'd personally prefer 7 responses with loads of back and forth between me and the responders. Sometimes a lower number of responses is way better than a larger number if there is a lot of interaction throughout the discussion. 12 is fine...some of my most fun discussions had less responses. Currently I have no discussions up but I'll write one soon

Thanks for your valuable advice. From now on i'll also look for big long responses rather more no. of response.

@imravi Even if you get one response it can lead to a lot of discussion and could end up being more valuable than 5 responses. This is a discussion site so someone that just responds and leaves isn't as valuable as someone who responds and you have an actual discussion with.

@imravi I agree with @Mike197602 . Number of responses is rather over rated.I am not saying that is bad.

I think completely depends on what was the post about. You can analyse the posts that have higher responses have something common in their nature or their appeal. They connect with lot of people. It may not be high content post but a very simple day to day activity, and can still get huge responses. So its very tough to define in that sense. Also , depends on how many members respond to you regularly.

Yeah many of the topics are used to be just trivial....but as you said it's right that everything depends on the fact that how many people can easily connect with it. ....
