Summers are approaching in northern parts of the world and i believe most of us would have planned to spend our summers by doing certain activities that could utilize our time in best possible way. So what are your top five tasks that you would like to do this summer?

Lovely plans Tara :) . Your plans seems to be organized mostly around your kids. God bless them. I wish all your plans come true and wish you have lots of fun this summer.

Great question! I'd like to finish most of my dissertation, get into swimming for my health issues, enjoy some outdoor drinking/socializing, get outside more, and relax a bit!

Wonderful :) . Very good plans. The only thing i would like to add here is that don't forget to add a timeline or a deadline to your plans, otherwise it has been observed (atleast in my case) that plans that lack a timeline are less likely to get realized.

I am thinking of spending most of the time inside the house and not get too exposed to heat outside.

Afternoon sun is what we should avoid getting exposed to during summers. However you could plan to have some tasks during evenings or may be early morning during this summer.

I have not done planning as well. Generally speaking summer is not really my favorite season. There is severe drought where i live right now. Even hilly regions which are famous for cool temperature are experiencing temperature more than 40 degree. Its difficult to get out of house even in evening as its really hot and humid. I prefer to stay inside house play computer game when i am free or watch movies on tv or youtube.

I don't have any plans or a To Do List. The same things I do in the summer, I do all year long.

Then why not make one this summer :) Let this summer be a bit different and more exciting than the previous ones.

@manohar282 - Probably because I'm too old to care and my priority is my husband. He's not in the best of health, I'll let my kids enjoy the summer. They can think of something new to do.

I can think of three off the top of my head: visit my sister in Italy; visit my friends in Georgia; and visit the family cabin in Montana.

Spend time with my wife watching the birds or butterflies. Try to do more volunteer work (teaching courses or helping the food bank). Also, spend time with friends and family doing things. I am starting off good and the next 3 Saturdays my wife an I are already booked.

Ok. Thats the best possible way to remain cool this summer, especially if its too hot outside in your locality. However you can do a lot many things while staying inside. There are various indoor activities which one can perform. Try to come up with a plan and make this summer one of the best and memorable summers of your life :) .

Go to the College Prep Program, go to a Weird Al concert, complete my mixtape, sing duets with the other Nifty, and donate to the Eric and Shaye movie because maybe then I will be able to see it before it officially comes out on DVD.
