Early childhood education is quite popular in my country. Because of that, the Ministry of Education has provide teachers for such education. Teachers are educated in the university level, so those who pass will be awarded scholars for Early Childhood Education. What about in your country? Do you have the same too?

Early childhood program is becoming popular in our country too but during my time, we did not attend school till age six at the earliest. Seven was the normal school entry age.

Children start from age 0 - 4 can attend this Early Childhood education. And starting from the age of 4 - 6 they can move up to the kindegarten before they enter elementary school.

@yanzalong Yes that's true but I heard comments from others that children should enjoy their childhood and not be burdened with being tied up early to their schedule of "classes".

They are schools where parents take their children to. The children aged 0 -4 can play there guided by special teachers. It is a good start before they enter kindergarten at the age of 4.

@sunrisefan In my opinion early childhood education should be supported by the government as not all parents can afford this kind of school.

I think it's similar to that and are mostly offered by the regular schools. Daycare centers are government-operated and run mostly by volunteers of lowly-paid new education graduates or the like.

The British government is very keen on getting children into education as early as possible, but it doesn't suit all children. Do they actually test them to certain criteria in Indonesia? Here they are properly tested, which is daft because at the age of three or four they should be learning about socialisation through play. Play is the best educator at that age.
