Aura

I do not experience this for now. Aura! This was the manifestation I experienced when I had a mild stroke last March 2nd, midnight. I was playing in my mobile phone while the aura was at its height. I had that severe and unbearable headache then, which prompted my sister and my son to bring me to the hospital. I Am about to finish my dose of Citicoline (in 4 days time), a brain stimulant, and I don’t get dizzy anymore when standing with eyes close; however, I am always using my eyeglasses now because I feel my lens increased again. I remove my glasses when I sleep, or when I take a bath; otherwise, it is always worn now. What, you may ask, is my aura when I have migraine attack? I see scintillating lights at the corner of my vision, and these get bigger until the whole of my vision is covered with these flashes of light. Then, I will have the unbearable headache. If you also watch a famous television action series here on ABS-CBN, you will notice a young boy named AURA. His distinct look is one eyebrow raised. He is gay, by the way. Do you have an aura when headache strikes?

@ridingbet Really , you can do that also . Mataray ka talaga . ( You are indeed fiery - is that the English for mataray ? Yes i know of transient ischemic attack . That's why i am always on watch for it . This heat can indeed induce high blood and stroke , so we all have to be ready when we go out in the sun . Of course , i am concerned with all of you my friends .

@SIMPLYD thank you, my lady. right now, it is so humid here. i drove the car this morning with my son and sister to bring the 2 puppies for their booster dose on rabies vaccination. it was nice it was just humid and warm, now it is still humid but hot.

really, you cannot raise one eyebrow, my friend? i can do that with my right eyebrow, and i look 'mataray', but when i raise my left eyebrow, i look like 'nagmamakaawa'. the unbearable headache caused me mild stroke, my friend. it is also termed transient ischemic attack, or my brain lost oxygen that was why i had mild stroke, but now, i am fine and well. thanks for your concern.

i think ive seen that boy on Facebook. my eyes are perfect but i went through a headache last year that i couldnt bear. they had my brain scanned but the result was fine. the doctor said that i was already stressed out and had a migrane. when i was going through it, i had to cover my eyes the whole time and sit for days.

seeing bright lights and colors like orange and super-red and olive green clothes trigger a migraine attack, so i think covering your eyes is good so 'you won't see these colors and bright lights' as well.

indeed, Periactin- vita, Cafergot, and Avamigran all worked good for me but that was about 2 decades ago when I was still in q8. now, i always use my eyeglasses to remove any possibilities of having an aura again.

I think I might be the opposite. I can be online forever and never feel headache. Or if I do I never notice it. I do notice when I 'm tired. But there is this thing that wen ever a thunder storm comes an hour away from my head I feel horrible headache and feel like I m gonna die in that very same moment.

@ridingbet Well I have to admit that I just become really sleepy if I try to stay awake for too long. I start acting like a kid and cuddle myself in bed or then just fell down and slee while sitting. But ya. Most fun part of that is that I don't even know there is a thunder storm coming outside when I'm inside. I only feel like I was seasick and ill. Then when hour or half later the thunder breaks I'm like "Oh I so knew it.. "

hijo, a migraine is defined as a one-sided headache, either frontal or one side of your head, and you usually experience aura before the headache strikes. it is triggered by hunger, bright and colorful lights, intake of chocolates to name a few. your toothache is not migraine, in my opinion. but yes, when a tooth is aching, all of your body gets painful too.

I do have what is called "aura migraine". There is no pain associated with mine, just zigzags and it lasts about 20 minutes. Sorry that you have so much pain.

actually, i had the migraine attack on the night that i was brought to the hospital; now, i do not see those lights anymore. do you mean the light that you see are the zigzagging flashing lights at the periphery of your vision? that is also the aura i feel/see, my friend.

@ridingbet , I have been getting headaches lately, but they are tension or sinus related. I have not gotten an Aura before a headache though. I hope you keep feeling better each day and the Citicoline keeps helping.

yes my dear. Citicoline did some help in my brain. now, i can stand up with eyes closed and not feel dizzy or feel like i will tumble down. i will still have to consult my neurologist if i should stop it now, but i was prescribed for 1 month intake.

I used to have migraine attacks when I was in high school. They make me vomit a lot.

vomiting somehow reduces the migraine we have. i also feel nauseated and vomit those yellowish gastric juices and it is non-projectile as well, so you can feel the pain of vomiting out with an empty stomach. i had migraines lasting for a day before.
