Brendan Kennedy of the TheStar.com reports the Toronto Blue Jays have signed a to a minor league contract former Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Bourn. Bourn, 33, was designated for assignment by the Braves on April 2, 2016 before he was released on April 13, 2016. Bourn had been given a look see by the Arizona Diamondbacks on April 14 before they decided not to sign him to a minor league contract. The Toronto Blue Jays decided to sign Bourn to a minor league contract since they will be needing his services as a reserve outfielder for their team for the 2016 baseball season. Since Bourn has not played in the Major League Baseball this year, Bourn will be playing baseball for the Buffalo Bison which is the AAA minor league branch of the Blue Jays until he is ready to make a contribution to the team later this year.

I didn't realize Bourn was without a team. He's only 33 and seemed to be a decent enough speedy outfielder. Good move contending Jays as they have nothing to lose on signing him.
