~Disrespectful At The Park~

The girls at the park

The park across the street is usually a wonderful thing for the children. BUT on the weekends it is really loud, even late at night. Even that is not a problem for us because I don't mind noise-never have. Lol. There is a BIG problem though! Today they are having some games on the field over there, and they are playing LOUD rap music with really horrible language! So horrible the music is making me blush!! The worst part is-they have little ones over there and MY children are not allowed outside now on a beautiful day because we don't want them hearing that awful language! Two police cars rode by the field and did not seem to care either... This is just awful and so unfair for so many reasons... And to those that care like I do-this is God's day!

What a shame that you have to keep your children away from the park. To some, bad language is the norm it seems.

@JudyEv No, they couldn't go out our front or back door because the park is across the street from us and the music was that loud!

I know of some areas in which you must call the police yourself and complain before they take action. Loud music in the day time isn't illegal but you can call the police and accuse them of ''disturbing the peace'' which is an offence.

@MikeTheKnight Yeah we won't complain here because we will have nothing but problems if we did.

Everyday is God's day and the loudness should be lowered. The police can tell those who are playing loud rap music with profanities to either lower the music or shut it off. I hope things are resolved so that you and your children are feeling peaceful.

Well yes but this is the Holy day so I find it even more offensive on Sunday! But yes every day is God's day and it's wrong any day. Thanks, I hope something is done about it too but in this area I am not sure if anything will be done.

Don't they have a noise by law that would enable the cops to ticket them for that?

@Juliaacv I am not sure, I think its just for late at night-but I could be wrong.

I also hate such music and too bad our kids get exposed even when we don't want them to

@LovingMyBabies what scared me most is that two police cars just drove by and did nothing at all

And that's one consequence of living in a democratic country! Ironically.

@toniganzon Yeah it annoyed me because my children couldn't go to play on one of the nicest days we have had!

The police are not going to care unless they get some complains.

@jstory07 To be honest this isnt the neighborhood where we can complain.

That is terrible how people feel the need to act that way at a public park that's what earbuds were made for, to not bother other people with your terrible music!

@JacobRedFox I completely agree! We couldn't go out our front door because it was so loud and had horrible music!

I totally get what you're saying. I personally love music like that, but it's definitely 13+ so you should tell someone.
