Disaster in the Kitchen

I took my bath early this evening, and put on my PJs. I was standing in the kitchen finishing up dinner, when I went to shake up the bottle of salad dressing. The only problem was, the lid wasn't on it. Let me tell you, that dressing went everywhere. I had it in my hair, in my eyes and on my pajama top. It was also splattered all over the floor and wall. After dinner I had to take another bath. There is still a big greasy spot on the kitchen floor.

LOL! My dad did that at a holiday family dinner.

@norcal Yes, they tell me that it was. It happened while my parents were still in high school (and dating each other), so I wasn't even born yet.

Dinner was a great success, and the salad was the centerpiece of it. So, no worries there.

I had a similar experience while opening a small tub of Greek Dip. It went all over my counter, the floor and my shirt.

I guess this keeps us humble, just in case we think we've got it together.

I hate when something oily splatters on the floor or on the kitchen counter and even more if it splatters on my hair.

Ugh, yes. I even had it in my eye. I really got myself good.

@norcal In your eye can be painful if the salad sauce contained vinegar. Years ago I had Tabasco sauce in my eyes, it was not funny.

I am always flabbergasted that a small amount of stuff can go so far and make such a mess. It would take ages to get everything - and everyone - back to normal.
