Concrete monuments

By the word monument, one might envision a pedestal of a hero or a famous man in the community erected to honor his memory. But no, it's not what is meant by the title of this Discussion. Concrete monuments are those cylindrical concrete markers buried on the ground to establish property lines. These markers are buried on the ground between properties to determine that it's end of one's property and the beginning of another person's. I thought of making a discussion on concrete monuments because, as I was doing my stock market watch and being on Mylot at the same time, I saw through the window some men passing by carrying survey equipment. Because our dobberman was barking after seeing the men, I went out of the house and inquired what the men were doing and I learned that they were hired by the new neighbor to make a re-survey of his property to relocate concrete monuments which could no longer be seen. To do this, the surveyors need to locate the monuments of other adjacent properties to establish property lines in relation to the surveyed property. I hope this is an additional information about real property to fellow Myloters except @Toni, who I'm sure, is very knowledgeable about properties :)
