Do You Like Window Reflections?

Spring Display Window in Paso Robles

I was in downtown Paso Robles today looking for a business that started with "W" and as I walked around I saw this display window. I don't like getting in the picture, so I stood off at an angle to take this, but I love seeing not only what's in the window's spring display, but also the street outside the window reflected in it. Do you like reflections? Want to post some of your favorite reflection shots?

Reflection shots can be interesting. Amazing how a clear glass window can act as mirror.

Window Reflection that Looks Like a Mural
This is my favorite, taken on a rainy day of the window of an flight company across from a field where mustard was growing in the green grass.

@bagarad That is just like twin mirrors. Great effect.

This is an interesting shot. Most of my reflection shots are reflections in water. It is nice to see something a bit different.

Water reflections are prettier. the thing about window reflections in cities is that you can't plan them. You have no control over who will walk or drive by. You sometimes get a surprise when you unload your camera.

@bagarad That's true. I think it was @inlemay who posted a lovely one the other day of a very tall building reflected in a shop window.

@bagarad right. WE have to be in a strategic position where we can't see our own reflection.

That's the trick. I had to almost give up trying to take pictures of the contents of display cases in tasting rooms that contained interesting antique jewelry. The cases were small, and it was impossible to stay out of the picture.

I first began to think about them after getting caught in a few of them trying to take photos through windows of something on the other side.
