If TV Could Give Us Skills

Could you imagine learning skills just from watching stuff on TV? Like I wish i could just watch a few cooking shows and become an instant great chef with all the knowledge of one. I am not sure what else i would watch to gain skills. I could be an incredible artist/tattoo artist watching like skin wars, face off, and tattoo shows! That would be incredible too! What shows would you watch and what would you use the skills to become?

I'd like to be a better writer but I don't think I'm going to find that on TV. I need to be a better cook but don't have a lot of interest in it really.

I would watch cooking shows as well to learn about cooking, but I would also watch Talentwatch so I know what budding, about-to-become-famous musicians sound like. I also enjoy learning about business in the digital era (a.k.a. business in the Nifty Digit Nation, as I call it), I would likely watch shows like the one hosted by Gary Vaynerchuk, but that's more of a YouTube thing than a TV thing. Most of my video time is online anyway.
