Is Pondicherry Beach worth visiting?

Pondicherry is a very beautiful city. It is on one side of the Bay of Bengal. There was French structures 50 years back. Many of those structure still exist.
Pondicherry Beach is a beautiful beach. There is a main road with wide pavement on one side of the Beach. Visitors can walk there in the morning and also in the evening.
But there is a concern. It rains a lot in Pondicherry. During most time of the year there are strong showers. In the rain it becomes difficult to visit the place and the tourist attractions.
If visitors get a dry sunny day, then the beach looks brilliant. There are many tourist attractions around Pondicherry.

Is Pondicherry Beach can be reached using public transport?
And the day what is usually crowded visitors?

Dear Imron, Pondicherry has its own Airport, but generally visitors come to Chennai Airport. There is public transport, buses, cars, other vehicles. They are not that crowded. Visitors can spend one week over there.

@jacksta1 Yes Imron, on a sunny day Pondicherry beach is a paradise. It rains a lot in the area, so visitors are advised to avoid the rainy season.
