I am so embarrassed!

My elderly neighbor asked me to pick up his mail over this past weekend as he and his wife would be away. They often ask me to do things like that and I happily do that for them. He just called to check if we were home so he could come over to pick up his mail. My stomach hit the floor and I was so embarrassed. I had to confess to him that I completely forgot to grab his mail and that he could find it in his mail box. Luckily it was only 2 days worth of mail but still. I look like a total irresponsible airhead and I am completely embarrassed. Ugh.

Don't beat yourself up. I am sure your intention was there. Sometimes we just get too involved with our own lives! At least no harm was done!

Anyone can forget,he will sure understand.There is no need to feel irresponsible,he knows you`ve done it in the past.
