Bill Baer of NBC Sports reports the Cincinnati Reds have placed their right handed starting pitcher Raisel Iglesias on the 15 day disabled list on Sunday which is retroactive to April 25 with an impingement of his right shoulder. Iglesias felt a "pinch" in his right shoulder on Friday during a bullpen session which prompted the Reds to place him on the 15 day disabled list on Sunday. It is not clear how long Iglesias will be on the shelf due to his shoulder injury. The Reds promoted rookie pitcher Tim Adlerman from their AAA minor league team the Louisville Bats to replace Iglesias on their starting pitching staff until Iglesias is able to return to pitch for the Reds in the near future. Adlerman, 28, pitched in his first Major League Baseball game on Sunday at PNC Park which is the home stadium of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Reds won the game versus the Pirates on Sunday by a final score of 6-5 in 11 innings to move their 2016 baseball season record to 10 wins and 15 losses which places them in fourth place in the National League Central Division standings. The win over the Pirates on Sunday ended a six game losing streak by the Reds.

The Reds are going nowhere in a rebuilding season. No need to press this guy.
