Camping

We had a wonderful time camping this weekend. A lot of people backed out on us because of the weather but we still had 10 people there and the weather turned around shortly after we all set up for the evening. My son loved tent camping and hiking around. Mom didn't do much of the hiking because they were going far and I wasn't feeling that well but I took pictures as they walked along the top ridges of the hills. We are already planning another trip it was a lot of fun and we wish we would have just stayed another night.

@farbuoloxusy we don't get much of a calling sites nearby so we just have to go for a trip and that needs money...I hope next time your budget will support a night away trip....

@imravi I am thankful that we have all open land around us. A friend of mine moved from here a few years ago and has a hard time finding a place to camp and the few places they have she has to pay for.

This was our budget trip. I wanted a night away from home but the funding wasn't there so camping was the perfect alternative. Not to mention my 4 year old was begging to go.

I love going camping! I have been out there many times when it decided to start raining and we were all soaked but it is all in what you make of it! I am excited that camping season is here now and cant wait until we plan our first one

@farbuoloxusy My kids LOVE the rain and sometimes I do worry about them getting sick if the rain is freezing cold or something but it is all about the fun in it so I let them even at home run outside and play in the mud puddles and the rain! They wouldnt miss it for the world either. As long as they have extra clothes what is it really hurting?...plus the fish bite better in the rain

@crazzydolphin Yes! My child is the same way. He also loves fishing if we lived anywhere other than the desert!

This was a budget trip for us to get out of the house. I only took food we already had at home to BBQ and where I live camping is free just about anywhere you go because everything is wide open.

@farbuoloxusy I remember going up to my cousins farm and camping. But everything to get away, and have a vacation sort camping costs a lot. I never go to provincial parks as you're looking at a few hundred for that lone.

@ricki_911 Camping doesn't cost us very much. We generally have everything we need to go camping its just about getting it all packed and ready to go that I dread.

I haven't bee n camping since I was in girl scots in the mid sixties. It was fun and the weather was sometimes warm, and cold. We stayed in log cabins. I have ever stayed in a tent.

We have a camper we usually take out but we want my son to be able to experience tent camping as well. It is such a blast getting out and so relaxing.
