Bitcoin is a virtual currency used online and blockchain is the underlying technology. Is anyone here using BTC online for purchases or other purposes?

You may as well avoid use of gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, Paypal, etc. because they are all used daily by criminals who access the "regular" internet. You need not go to the "deep dark web" to use bitcoins. The "deep dark web" is not accessed by only criminals. It is also used as a safe place for activists to voice their opinion in places where they would other wise be persecuted for doing so, by government, businesses, the military, the police, etc.. I've yet to make enough to purchase anything. I only occasionally earn bits for fun by playing some games and using faucets.

@IvySaysHi I understand. There is some scary stuff on there. Unless you've got a link from a trusted source, probably best to stay away from it.

I send/receive Bitcoin thru these Bitcoin Wallet Providers: Blockchain.info, Coinbase.com, Xapo.com, e-coin.io and coins.ph. All we need to do is sign up at those sites. They are free.
