Trouble With MyLot on Safari

I was having quite a bit of trouble with myLot on Safari. Safari would shut down when I tried doing anything on myLot. When I’d try to type in a comment the letters would stop then take off and all the letters I typed would appear. Then Safari would shut down and a notice would pop up saying my computer was infected by either adware or malware. They gave me a number to call that was supposed to be an Apple number. I don’t know whose number it was but it wasn’t Apple support. And it told me my computer was locked, which wasn’t true either. I just forced quit Safari and it worked fine until I went back into myLot. Then I ran my malware checker and my computer came up clean. Today I decided to try Chrome. So far no problems at all. I’ll try to catch up with all the comments that I haven’t been able to. Anyone else out there using Mac Safari who had problems?

Your post gave me a start. I use Safari to post articles as Firefox doesn't. I posted one okay this morning. After reading your post, I posted another no problem. I have experience similar pop up issue scam like you describe on Firefox.

Hopefully you won't encounter the problems. I have Foxfire on my computer as well and almost tried it first. I've been on myLot for a few hours now on Chrome and have not had any problems. The problem I was having on Safari started after I had been on myLot for may be 45 minutes to an hour.
