Got an extra 4 hours at work

Yesterday I was suppose to work 9-1 and they asked me to stay until 5pm. My friend who is a manager was upset because a few nights before they had booked one girl until 430pm, and then the next 530pm so she was alone for an hour. They know this isn't allowed but they do it, Iam sure because noone was complaining. So I got to stay until 5pm until the other girl started. It gave me extra 4 hours yesterday.

It seems to me that your work is in the medical care field, right?

Its good that you got a few extra hours. It'll give you a few extra dollars on your next pay check. They should definitely talk to the person who deals with schedules.

@ricki_911 yeah, I'm glad that you mentioned it. It doesn't seem right that only person was working. Hopefully it changes.

@dodo19 I would think for safety reasons they should have at least two people working.
