what is the best scripting language?

I need to know what the best scripting language is. Many people say 'Ruby is the best one because it's very advanced programming language'. But I think every programming languages are best if you know to use it. So I go with Python because it's easy to learn and easy to define and call functions. Perl is also good but we have to write a long code to do something when we compare it with python. What's your choice? Why do you think so?
