Went to see Jungle book with my nephew / myLot

Although i like movie i ended up comparing story with old jungle book cartoon i used to see in my childhood.As compare to cartoon i did not like movie much although effects in movie were awesome and that new kid has done good job. My niece and nephew who has never seen jungle book cartoon were very impressed.They end up liking movie very much. Infact my niece has named everyone in home with jungle book characters. My husband is bagira and myself ballu.

So how about you?did you see new Jungle book?How do you find it as compare to old cartoon series?With whom did you see it?

@boiboing That makes more sense now. Is Bagheera a black cat? If you got an orange striped tabby, you could name him Shere Khan...

I just watched the cartoon edition because when my son was small, he used to watch it over and over on CD.

yes cartoon version was better in fact. Movie has cut lot of detail.

I'm waiting until it hits Redbox. The theater is just too dang expensive for our family to go.

@piya84 Redbox is a Kiosk that holds movies. They're often found at our local grocery stores or outside of McDonalds. So instead of renting a movie from a local video store, we just go to this kiosk and pay $1.50/night for a movie. We're limited to what's on-hand in the "box", though. I miss our Blockbuster. We had more movie options when they were around and they often had deals where we could get as many movies as we wanted for the month, for a low, monthly fee. But Redbox drove them out of business. Now, if we want to watch an old movie, odds are Redbox doesn't carry it, so we have to flat-out buy the dvd. Because our town doesn't have a video rental store. :(
