Among the different types of parasites in the intestine, pinworms are one of the worst type of worms. They look like white threads. They get into the lower intestine and there they lay eggs. When the eggs hatch around the anus area, they cause huge itching for the person in whose body the pinworms take hostage. Children are more affected than the adults. Once they are in the body they take up the nutrition of the body and grow bigger. Mebendazole and Albendazole are the medicines against pinworms. But there is a doubt even if the mebendazole kill the adult pinworm, whether they kill the eggs. It is serious parasite and should be killed.
