Welcome to this weekend’s Suddendeath poetry challenge, Parents! Anyways, rules are as follows, write a poem in any style using the five words that I give you. Write it in one sitting or in under an hour (only to quash your inner editor, rules are loose there). Add it here, OR link in a comment so we can enjoy each other’s poems. The words can be in any plurality or tense. Today’s words are mom(or mother or mama or whatever), dad (or father, or daddy or whatever), family, secret, blood. My entry is below: ------------------------------------------------------- That one kid’s book asks are you my mother, It never asks about sisters or brothers Or aunts or uncles, not even fathers. It just doesn’t ask, it never even bothers. You’d think that it would, in this great world of ours, Family these days is more what you make of it under the stars. It’s more about sharing and caring than blood relation. It’s about both family and friends no matter location. Technology is no longer a secret because many can access This allows family to spread past country and address. Mylot is made up of family by purpose We care and share, family no less earnest!

mom, dad, family, secret, blood. So, you fell for a man just like your father, While secretly hoped, you won't turn into your mother! So, you've tried to play the happy family, While tried to hide your apathy. So, is water of the womb really thicker? When all you do is bicker! Blood of the covenant is the way. To see you through each and every day!

@AbbyGreenhill Ive had littlest one since he was barely 6 weeks old, I deff feel like a mom. when he was a baby he'd sleep on my chest tucked in the hood of a jacket I had on backwards, or follow me around and cry. So I turned into an odd kangaroo

I have taken your words to ponder on them a while - I dont have children per se anymore therefore I dont think along that line.
