time to recover

May 16, 2016 2:54am CST
The weekend is over and the working week has begun. Do I feel refreshed? No. Do you feel refreshed? It isn't even as if I was particularly busy. On Friday night we dallied with the dogs at the greyhound racetrack. They zoomed round whilst we stuffed our faces with lovely food and made bets on who would win. We ended up breaking even, so all was good. Saturday saw me spend spontaneous time with Baby Brother and his partner, looking for homes which they could rent, before stuffing our faces with lovely food. The ingrained dirt and quirky layouts of some places for rent always manages to truly amaze me. Spontaneity is not my middle name so I was left exhausted, but the evening brought with it the fun of Eurovision and a chilled glass Elderflower and Lime Cider. Even Sunday didn't allow for a lie-in. Off we tootled to the garden centre and the DIY shop. Exterior paint and lunch, then an afternoon of sleeping. And now it's Monday morning and I'm tired again. In an ideal world I would love to curl up and sleep for a week, but instead I shall be working. Still, only two weeks {eight working days} to half-term. I can make it ...

It is interesting looking around houses/flats or whatever, some have really strange layouts and you think 'people really live like this?' or 'they designed it this way - why?'

@Poppylicious My friend moved into a flat with bright orange walls, she illustrated this by holding up a real orange which blended in perfectly!

It's even more enjoyable when they still live there and have quirky and 'interesting' decor to complement the layout!

It's a holiday today and I am glad it is, Saturday we celebrated my husband birthday and I had a lot to cook for my guests. Yesterday it was time to clean the mess after the party. Today I am finally relaxing a little.

Monday, I love Mondays. This morning I woke up too early despite sleeping late last night. Went to my yoga class and I feel so refreshed after that.

I should probably try yoga, but I fear I wouldn't be good at it.

@Poppylicious You don't have to be good at it. Nobody is good as beginners anyway.

What - a Eurovision lover?? Not me I'm afraid. The evening at the dogs sounds like fun, I haven't been for a while. My weekend was spent working at the races and gardening.
