Have you ever baby sit your young baby with someone else’s young baby? If not would you do it?

Someone asked if I could babysit for them, since I am a stay at home mom, but I really don't know if I can do it. I am afraid that I would pay the other child more attention and my child would get less attention. I just feel like I would be overly paranoid taking care of the other baby. It just a feeling, I don't know because I have not tried. Have you ever experience anything like this. My baby is 10 month and the other is 4 months.

I've sat for other moms before. I also have 6 kids. It's always worked out fine. In fact, my kids usually LOVE helping or playing with the baby.

I think I might give it a try and see what happens.

@Wowtalk It wouldn't hurt. If you find you can't handle it, you can just tell the other mom it's too much for you at this time. If it does work, well, win-win. Right?

When I was a kid I always had to stay with my aunt while my mother was working. There was definitely a difference in how my aunt treated me vs. her own children. She was kind and generous for the most part but there were times where she was cruel. I think it just depends on the person because now I have children and a niece. I would never treat my niece poorly or any other child in my care. If anything, I would pay more attention to the child that is not mines for the time being.

I would definitely give the other more attention. These are babies, 10 months and 4 months, that both need equally amount of attention are even more. Maybe if I had a twin experience in the past it would be so much easier. I might give it a try though.

I havent tried baby sitting.. A baby. Well my 2 year old nephew always spend his day with us and it seemed okay. But i guess that would be a different kind of thing as we are related.

@Wowtalk yeah i thought yours are still babies cause it is mch harder to take care of them. How much more if you have two.

If they were two It would be so much easier, sorry I didn't state how old they were initially. They are 10 months old and 4 months old.

I haven't but my aunt have done it and it worked. The child could play with each other. How old are we talking about though?

@Wowtalk Oh that's a bit tough as they are not really in the sociable age yet. Do you have someone else with you in your home? That could probably give you extra eyes and hands just in case you'd need help?

@flapiz No extra eyes during the day time, If I do find it difficult, I don't think it would hurt to say no.

I think the little one will need less attention than the older one at the moment, so it will be OK, and they will probably enjoy each other's company.
