Kathy, I'm very sorry to hear you were a victim of domestic abuse, but I'm glad you're a survivor. I can sympathize and hope all is better for you now. My ex-husband never laid a hand on me until the first anniversary of our DIVORCE. He beat me up right in front of my office because I would not let him drive me home from work while my car was in the repair shop. Needless to say, he spent some time in jail.
