Alone at sea

One morning in June of last year, I had the chance of taking a beautiful shot of a solitary fisherman riding a motorized banca against a backdrop of a calm sea, orange horizon and threatening dark cloud looming above the waters. It was a refreshing site and one which would bring nostalgia to one who lives in the big city longing to have a chance to visit his hometown in the province and taste once again the provincial life. Will the photo above bring nostalgia to you if you were once a "provinciano" and now live in the big city?

Very nostalgic but it reminds me of the time we went to this island and got stranded in the middle of an open sea for two hours. To some it might have been a scary experience, but to me, it was just another ride on a ferry boat.

Guimaras? Considering that currents in the Guimaras Strait is strong, that must be a scary situation.

@sunrisefan No. Isla de gigantes. Traveling to guimaras takes only 15 minutes and there's no open sea there.

@sunrisefan That is a wonderful photo. I never lived near the beach, but this reminds me of being still. Having the joy and the peace not only when the ocean is calm.

Yes, being in a scene like the one on the photo would really give you moments of peace and reflection.

I always miss it.. We only have a chance to go back home during the kid's vacation.. I always like hanging at the back of our house. See the sun set and the horizon.. It calms your body.. Especially the sound of the waves..

So you have two hometowns? The left and the right? The one you left and the one where you are right now? LOL!
