Does love change with age?

May 23, 2016 10:28am CST
It is a common tendency that in the school days, small boys love boys because they are fascinated towards same sport, same interests. Similarly girls are most more close to other girls for similar likings. During the teenage, men and women and attracted towards the opposite sex. That is very natural. Do do love, attraction and likings change with age?

I think so, it does. When I was just a small child, my world revolves around my parents and my siblings. As I enter schools, then I learned how to love my teachers and my classmates. I learned how to love my friends and later on, I am in love with my boyfriend. I think as we age, we tend to like and love more people.

Thanks Curlann, the world around the child changes at different phases of life. From school life to college life and then in office life. Yes, people love the inmates around them.

@sathviksouvik Our world gets bigger and bigger as we grow up. Likewise to the number of people that we meet.

According to what I think, Yes it does, sometimes it's just sports or interests , sometimes it's hormones , sometimes it's situation, sometimes it's environment .

@sathviksouvik He is just 10 ... Don't worry ... It's normal... See how he grow up and after few more years see his reactions to situation you put him in.... And that will clear it up... For now ... Don't give their liking of a person since he play sports better than him... as love.... He is too young for hormones to work ....

I think as kids we look for the same gender for friendship as we like the same things such as girls playing with dolls together. As adults we are looking for romantic relationships. I don't think our love changes though. I think its just we start to feel stronger emotions as we get older. When we are little love isn't something that really is felt the same way.

Thanks Shaggin for the comments. In the teenage boys and girls look for opposite partners. Thereafter with addition of responsibilities the priorities change and may be mind changes.

The approach to love and how we feel love changes with age. The requirement of love too changes with age and it is all very natural.

Dear aninditaji, it is obvious that among boys and girls also one will only love the other one who has same wavelength and whose likings are similar. But beyond intelligence, tastes, and other factors, age is another factor which Psychologists like Kholberg had suggested.
