Lene Lovich's time was brief in the late '70s. She was born in Detroit but raised in the UK by her Serbian mother. Like her friend Nina Hagen, Lovich was wild looking in appearance though her voice was less bizarre. "Lucky Number" was her noteworthy song that was successful in the UK reaching number three. The song did not raise a pulse in the US where it was confined to alternative radio play. "Lucky Number" is actually a pleasant bouncy pop kind of tune.

I remember the slogan for her: "If It's Lene's You'll Lovich!" I haven't heard her in ages, thanks for posting!!

I don't remember this one at all, but I wasn't in the UK in '79. That'll do as an excuse!

Never heard of her. She's ... interesting. Mean that in a good way. Kind of gives off a weirder and crazier Cindy Lauper vibe.

I haven't listened to her in years. Thanks for rectifying that!
