Enjoying the Sunshine

I took the dogs outside for their morning ritual of sniffing in the grass and doing their business. It was so nice out that I decided to pour my second cup of coffee and sit on the deck and enjoy the sunshine. The dogs were happy to sit outside too and watch the birds. Of course with the dogs on the deck the birds kept their distance.
My neighbors behind me have been busy planting flowers in their flower boxes but it's hard for me to tell what they planted until they grow a little higher. My one neighbor has beautiful flowers all summer long and he tends to them like they are his babies. I still haven't planted anything yet and my flower boxes are still empty.
Every day I try to get a little bit of time in the sun as I feel like I need to be energized after being cooped up in the house from our long winter and pretty rain spring.
The sun shines brightly on my back deck so I can enjoy it there in the early part of the day. When I'm looking for shade I can sit on my front porch and get a whole different view of the surrounding countryside. It's nice to be able to have the option of two places to enjoy being outside.
I'm not a sun worshiper but I do enjoy a bright sunny day

Dreary days make me tired and feeling dreary myself. When the sun is shining I'm perky

It's a California thing. We just hate Seattle weather.

It seems bigger than it is because I'm surrounded by trees and countryside and we don't have any fences between neighbors so it gives the feeling of wide open spaces

I used to work in an office with no windows and it was horrible. Never knew if it was sunny or rainy or anything.

@Marilynda1225 I think it is actually worse in the winter. During those months, it's dark when I come into work and dark when I leave for the day. I get to see the sun (if it isn't behind clouds) for maybe an hour.

I'm glad you had a wonderful day to spend outside. We got rain last night and supposed to get more today, so the sun, which we've had for quite a few days, is absent at the moment. Enjoy the sun while you have it.

I love how when I'm a bit cold that, when I find a patch of sun out of the wind, I can feel the sunshine bringing warmth and goodness into my body. At least, that's how it seems to me. Enjoy your day. :)

Its nice that you could enjoy the fresh air this morning over your cup of coffee. It was too hot and humid this morning for us to enjoy the outdoors, and this afternoon its even worse. I am staying indoors until this heat and humidity breaks which they are calling for next weekend. ugh

We all need some vitamin D and a little time outside. It's good for the soul.
