Reminder for myLot Lovers

Just thought about this after sitting for so long going over my notifications on myLot this early morning. After sitting for so long, I stood to go to the comfort room, but my knees hurt; so with my back! This reminded me of what an online friend advised to stand and walk a little and so some stretching after 30 minutes of sitting. But when you are too engrossed making comments/responding to notifications, you can forget that important healthy advise. So myLot lovers: do not forget to stand and walk and stretch a little after every 30 minutes of myLotting! Have a good day, my friends!

This is a hard point to remember but it is very important. Sometimes I put a timer on to remind to get up and move around a little.

Yes, a timer will help. It is nice to walk a little, go to the fridge for some water, or to the comfort room.

When I remember to do that it does energize me and help me do better and get things done off line as well as on.

A little exercise, done every now and then really helps. We really should do it even when not online.

And also do not forget to look away from your computer here and there.

Ah yes, that is very important too for the eyes! It really gets blurry staring at the glaring screen for hours. Thanks for the additional reminder.

Hope nothing happened to your butt, too! My old well-rounded butt turned flat due to myLoting. So, right now I am standing typing my posts and comments . . and from time to time massaging my butt to retrieve its old nice-looking form.

It is really the tendency; we forget that we are already sitting for hours on the computer.

You have a good routine. It is nice and healthful to stand once in a while instead of continuously sitting.

@miniam and that is one of the reasons why many of us tend to sit for long; we are too engrossed in writing or reading posts specially interesting ones.

@acelawrites I don't use it all the time. Only when I can't get a hold of my laptop. And with people calling me all the time, I can't seem to use my phone for being on mylot all the time. But when I'm out somewhere and I get bored, I use my phone to mylot.

Yes, it is the benefit of using a handy phone. But I find it hard using it and more comfortable with my laptop.

I have the same problem at work. I will be so engrossed with what I am doing that I will forget to stretch and take a break. Sometimes I would even forget to hydrate myself. I used to stock bottled water beside me so Iw wouldn't have to get up to get them. But I know I needed that few minutes to step away from the computer.

I also had that experience when I was in Bubblews, and yesterday when I was trying to meet my goal here; then I realized it was wrong because my physical health would be at stake.

Yes,I learned this lesson when I was in Bubblews; it made my legs swollen due to water retention for sitting for long hours! To prevent back pain, I bike every morning for some 20 -30 minutes.

@acelawrites I just got home . . . I went to the clinic of our family doctor. It was not about my flat butt . . but it was my appointment for physical check up. So far so good according to our pretty doctor. I am fine . . I still don't need Viagra or Cialis!

Thank you for that friendly reminder. I understand you. That was what happened to me too and it is so true that when we get engrossed with what we are doing in front of the computer we tend to forget to move anymore. When I am at work I do stand a lot but when my task is over then I stay in the computer for long hours. It is so difficult sometimes especially when you are beating a deadline.
