Worrying and being clueless

Should we just.ignore it or show a little bitnof concern? My brother heard a woman crying yesterday morning. It is coming.from our.neighbor's house. Our.neighbor are.actually Indians, who are.just renting to the house next to us. What makes.my brother worried was that, it is loud and painful.and she has been crying for hours, not usual since.they have been our neighbors.for months now. And also we can not understand what they are saying. With no idea, we try to ignore the crying too and later on her husband has become tearful too. Neighbors on the other side has gathered around and see what is happening and same thing, clueless. We just let the day pass, clueless with what had happened to our neighbors and glad to see her this morning much better than yesterday.

it's hard when you don't understand what they're saying because it's a different language, but i guess you can tell if it sounds like someone is already crying for help.

I think it's best to leave them alone. Not unless I would hear my neighbour cry for help, i wouldn't interfere at all. But if it's a child, then it's a different story.

I don't mind if they have crying moment. Perhaps they are being sentimental over something.

It is a mystery. But yes ,most Indians do not like others interfering.Still when you see her may be You can ask her if she is ok.Generally Indians who go to other countries do speak English.

@Lucky15 - Reine - Have you considered that, just maybe, the woman does not like living next door to you? (Only kidding) Good luck to you in learning the root of the problem(s).

If an Indian woman cries loudly and especially an Indian man tears up, it generally means someone passed away or something equally bad happened. Well, that is general observation.

Its more of a cultural thing, if your neighbors are Indians expect them to be noisy since they came from a crowded country. Filipinos tend to foster that "unity in a community" mentality. You could ask them if you could help them in there problems or help cheer them up. But if they don't want to and show sign of aggression or violence. Then back down and give them some space, some people want to be left alone. That's my opinion on it at least. Hope it helps!!:)

@Lucky15 Oh in that case it depends, is your desire for helping her greater than your desire to respect their privacy? Its that simple really :)

We can not ignore such cries and we worry what's happening to them, but of course, we could not just barge into their home unless they sought for help.

Maybe they we're having personal problems and the woman can't control her emotions, thus the crying incident.
