~He Does It On Purpose!~

When I get annoyed in some way I always end up cleaning. It gets my anger out in a productive way and it helps me let off some steam. This afternoon after church was one of those times. My husband was pushing my buttons so I walked into the kitchen and started scrubbing away! I think my husband sometimes pushes my buttons on purpose so he can get a clean house to look at! I guess it is a smart idea on his part if you think about it... Oh well...at least the house is clean and smells good and I am not as annoyed anymore. Win win for everyone! Does your spouse do anything like this?

@miniam Lol, I can't lock myself in the room-he would just come in and bug me or the kids would need me.

And you get the house clean without having to work yourself up to doing it. Doesn't sound such a bad way to me. :) Hope the buttons are all back to where they should be now!

@celticeagle I've never locked myself up so I don't know what mine would do. I usually go quietly about my business and in a little while he apologizes.

Oh yeah. My husband always likes to push my buttons. But unlike you, I don't often times find it very cute and he gets the backlash of it lol.

I have often said the same thing. If I am upset or angry I clean also. It does relieve some of the stress and anger. I believe mine really does do it on purpose. We have been married 16 years and together for 19 years. He knows what pushes my buttons and does it any way and if I say something about it, he acts innocent, but yeah I think they do it on purpose.

@melissa1024 I think mine does it on purpose as well. Yup mine knows what gets on my nerves as well. 12 years gives him the knowledge also to know what I don't like.

@LovingMyBabies Just wondering if you also know how to push his buttons so he can do something that you want to be done?

@LovingMyBabies Exactly and sometimes I wonder if they are just looking for something to do or trying to start up an argument or they think it is funny. Because I can tell you even though I am cleaning mine knows I'm mad because of my facial expression and demeanor.

I tend to clean when I get worried or nervous. I cleaned often when my man lived here because I was always cleaning up messes as they were making them haha.

My husband will sometimes tease me, or push my buttons. However, I generally don't clean. I will sometimes, if I'm upset and I need something to do, but as a general rule of thumb I don't.

@LovingMyBabies LOL. Well, don't fight. Just get along. I hope you're enjoying your Memorial day today. I am. Inside though. I know I haven't been around much getting to many peoples posts. But I have been going through some health issues. And tomorrow I have to go for a biopsy. Nothing serious, really. Just precaution. And I am also going to quit smoking tomorrow. I think I rambled on too much. Enjoy your day.

@MsTickle Well I can admit I am not always the best house keeper. I do have 4 children-who I am more worried about than a spotless home. He doesn't ever say that but I think he makes me mad so I will clean. Lol
