because I've seen so many people working hard and getting nowhere and so many people doing nothing and getting everything in return.. I believe it is a matter of mind set, if you focus your mind you get there, but is has to have some work involved right? What is you opinion on this?

You post reminds me of a quote "Form is temporary, class is permanent". With your luck you might get temporary success but I am more than certain and it is my firm belief that no one can substitute hard work. Hard work will ensure permanent success. If someone is not getting success then, with due respect, they are heading in the wrong direction.

I see people winning the lottery and losing all the money as well. But all my life i've seen hard work really pays off.

I believe that the harder you work the more you get, but with that being said I have noticed in my own life where I have worked hard my entire adult life and I have nothing to show for it. Maybe I picked the wrong career path where I chose my passion over making the most money.

in fact, lucks are also brought by some works or actions. you will not get luck if you do nothing at all.

Hard work will give good results. Just keep on going and don't rely on good luck only.

Luck is a fickle 'lady'. She either favors you or doesn't, no reason needed. Plenty of losers out there buying lottery tickets and waiting for the 'big one' while they sit around playing Candy Crush and living off EBT. The surest thing is to get off yer butt and make your own luck.

I've gotten where I've gotten with hard work, not luck.

I believe it is a matter of lots of hard work, never giving up no matter how many failures they are, and saving money.

What about those of us who are lazy and unlucky? What are we left with? I need a third option here!
