Bathing in the Rain

There is a local song here that says "allow your children to frolic and play in the rain," by the group Apo Hiking Society, which goes:"Hayaang maglaro ang bata sa araw, at pag umulan ay magtatampisaw("Let the children play in the sun, and frolic in the rain").
Playing in the rain/bathing is quite fun and most of the Filipino children probably experienced it. Till this day, I am happy to see children bathing and playing in the rain, of course they do it inside their yards or near their houses.
The rain has a soothing effect, and till this day when it rains hard I just wish I can bathe in it again! Well, I can do it just inside our yard and since neighbors are far, they can not see me having a grand time in the rain!

The downside is that some get sick or catch cold afterwards LOL!

So they should bathe just for a little time, not too long to catch cold. It is an experience they can not forget when they grow old.

That is right, one should not bathe in the rain if there's lightning and thunder. It is so dangerous.

Yes, that's why I like to see children still doing it now (but of course when there's no lightning or thunder).

there is joy when you bathe in the rain but i hope the kids will not stay long there too for fear of catching colds. besides, although it is believed that rains are the purest form of water, it cannot be denied that the factories and pollution add up to the acid rain and that is always detrimental to health.

@acelawrites but what if those factories keep on emitting those pollutants in the air? washing away with the rain might take ages to take effect

@ridingbet so there is really a need to plant more trees and do other environment-friendly actions. One needs to rinse after bathing in the rain.

I agree because of so much pollution nowadays, there could be an acid rain! But the weathermen said the next rains are more pure than the first rains of the season. Somehow the first rain had "washed" some of the pollutants.

I am all about playing in the rain. I wouldn't bathe in it though. lol Even recently, my sister and I ran up and down the street during a bad rainstorm. My neighbors think I'm crazy. lol

Actually it is not bathing per se, but just getting soaked in the rain and frolicking for fun. Why your neighbors could be so killjoy? Never mind them because they can spoil your fun.

I think that sounds like fun, I have a fenced in area where I would be hidden by a 6 foot fence, maybe I will try it.

Yes,just get soaked in the rain inside your fence; mine is also covered with some plants like a screen so they can't see me.

It's been years since i bathe on the rain, but afterwards i take a shower./ but the last i went into rain and didn't take another bathe i got sick and cold

We are lucky we have it, but then we also fear of too much rain due to La Nina phenomenon which could lead to flooding in low-lying areas.
