Interface of mylot

This is a random question but I am a big fan of web design and have dabbled with it. I have noticed that the interface of mylot is quite similar to that of facebook with the exception of being less heavy. I swear it would take me a few minutes just to load a page on facebook because of my slow internet. Compare that to this site with its simple design and layout which would allow me to post, like and comment even when downloading something. What are your thoughts and experiences?

For 6 years that I have been on mylot, I never really cared much how it looks hahaha!

Not sure if it has the same interface with Facebook but I prefer staying here than in Facebook.

Yeah, I've joined too many groups on facebook. Sometimes I receive posts I have no idea about :D

@Dramista, I used to be so active in Facebook but I lost interest when I get tired of so many negative posts and bragging almost everyday.
