Marvelous Marshall, my sweet cat

Let me tell you about my other cat, Marshall, since I mentioned about Wylie this month. Marshall is a sweet cat. I've known him since 1999, when my brother first got him with my SIL at a time, and before I met Wylie. He's an angel and so full of fun, love and laughter. He always there for me. If Wylie drives me crazy, Marshall would meow to tell him to back off and wrestle with him. He's my guard cat, if there's such a thing. He loves to be my lapcat, when he faces the end of the couch and not me, and is content to be petted. Whether I'm sitting or lying down on bed or on the couch, with a blanket or quilt on my lap to prevent scratches as a cushion, that's our thing together. Wylie does it too, when he faces me for a head scratch. I love hugging him and using him as a pillow for a few seconds. Whenever I'm stressed out from edits or anything, I use him as a stress reliever. Sometimes he can be my good luck charm, when I rub him all over for good luck--the same for Wylie too. The one thing that drives me really crazy about Marshall, he's an "air hog", who loves to have him 5 minutes outside with fresh air and sun on the patio. When he's ready to come back in, he wants to go back out again. I keep telling him not now and later. Except for cold, real windy or rainy days with or without t-storms, those days I don't let him out, including all winter long. From early spring to mid-fall, that's when he gets him air time on the patio. Though he's an indoor cat, he loves to go outside every day. Do you have a pet like that too?

My cats are in and out all day long and if there's a human around and a locked door, they'll get you to open it - even though they've got a cat flap.

It seems there's a great connection there. Your cat helps keep things together. That's good. Keep enjoying your cat.

I will. He's only 16 years old. I hope to have him for 5 more years or so.
